This version of A Warm Reception has been produced without references to UK fire legislation and is used around the world for training hotel staff, at all levels, about the procedures to be followed in a fire or similar emergency.

Due to the 'sleeping risk' hotels are considered to be 'high risk' when it comes to assessing the risk from fire, particularly when you consider that staffing levels will be significantly reduced at night. So, planning and training staff in the procedures to be followed if a fire breaks out, is not only a legal requirement, it makes good business sense!

A Warm Reception is our hotel fire safety programme ideal training hotel staff at all levels. As with previous versions of this programme the key training message is about the safe and efficient evacuation of guests and staff in an emergency situation. The latest version of this very successful DVD includes 4 versions (on the same disk) of the main programme which makes it cost effective and versatile.

The topics covered in A Warm Reception include;
Fire Legislation - Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005

Raising the Alarm
Calling the Fire Service
Portable Fire Fighting Equipment
Evacuating the Hotel

Fire Prevention

A Warm Reception - Main Programme
The main version of the programme covers all aspects of fire procedures in hotels. It includes important information regarding the procedures that must be followed in the event of fire, from raising the alarm through to the evacuation of staff and guests from the hotel.

In addition to the safe evacuation of people from the hotel A Warm Reception includes information about the use of the portable fire fighting equipment which will be installed and includes crucial information about the considerations that people should be aware of before attempting to fight a fire.

One of the main causes of fire is poor standards of fire safety, which is also the cause of many fines under The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005; we have therefore included a section which is dedicated to simple fire safety measures which will help reduce the chances of a fire starting.
Duration: 18 minutes

A Warm Reception - Induction Version

This short version of A Warm Reception is ideal for use as part of induction training or where time may be limited. It contains essential fire evacuation information, which will ensure that staff are aware of the procedures to be followed if a fire breaks out.

A Warm Reception - No Fire Extinguishers

Many hotels do not encourage staff to attempt to fight the fire. Therefore this version of the programme focuses on the evacuation procedures and the fire safety measures that will help to prevent fires from starting.
