This version of Get Out - Stay Out has been taken from the main Get Out - Stay Out programme and edited as a 'stand-alone' module. This version has been edited specifically for those premises which have a two stage fire alarm system.

If you are unclear about the different types of alarm systems then hopefully this will help:
A 'Two Stage' Fire Alarm is generally installed in large buildings. This type of alarm will sound constantly in the 'Fire Zone' as well as immediately above and below the area - again this is the signal to evacuate NOW! Other areas will hear an intermittent alarm, which means personnel in that areas should 'standby to evacuate' if the alarm signal changes to continuous.

As with the 'full version' of Get Out - Stay Out this module explains the how personnel should react to the different fire alarm signals, to ensure a safe and efficient evacuation as well as the procedures to be followed in a fire or similar emergency. The subjects covered include:

Fire Risk Assessments/Fire Legislation - Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
Raising the Alarm.
Calling the Fire Service.
Evacuating the Premises
Fire Wardens/Marshals Duties

Get Out – Stay Out is suitable for training staff in most types of workplace where a two stage fire alarm is installed and is ideal for both induction training and regular fire safety training.
