Focus on Fire - Induction Fire Training

Making sure that everyone knows what to do if a fire breaks out is not only good business sense - it's the law! As soon as a new member of staff begins working at your premises they need to know what they should do if they discover a fire or here the fire alarm, the available routes out of the building and where they must assemble.

Focus on Fire – Induction Training has been produced to help those responsible for training to ensure that all new employees are aware of what is expected of them either in a fire or similar emergency. Some of the subjects covered in this short programme include:

Emergency Procedures
The actions to be taken on discovering a fire or hearing the fire alarm. The importance of keeping fire exits, alarm call points and fire fighting equipment free from obstructions at all times.

Fire Prevention/Safety
Housekeeping and disposal of rubbish, basic electrical safety and precautions to be taken with flammable liquids.

Chemistry of Fire
The fire triangle, classification of fires A,B,C,D,F and the risks associated with electrical equipment.

Portable Fire Fighting Equipment
The different types of fire and suitable fire extinguishers and fire extinguisher operation.
