A Warm Reception is our specialist fire safety training DVD which has been produced specifically for hotels. Our recent update of this popular programme (released 1st July 2008) brought it in line with current fire safety legislation and the smoking regulations. A Warm Reception gives the user/trainer a more adaptable product and DVD contains 4 versions of the programme. This has been done to help trainers deliver training with an emphasis on fire safety or portable fire fighting equipment. As with all previous versions of this programme, the key training message is about evacuating in a fire emergency. The topics covered include; Fire Legislation - Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 Fire Doors Raising the Alarm Calling the Fire Service Portable Fire Fighting Equipment (Not in version 3) Evacuating the Hotel Preventing Fires (Not in version 4)

Version 1 - Full Length Programme (Duration - 18 minutes) This is a ‘catch all’ programme which covers all aspects of fire safety in hotels, it includes important information regarding the procedures that must be followed in the event of fire, from raising the alarm through to the evacuation of the hotel. This version includes crucial information about the considerations that are paramount when fighting a fire and a section which is dedicated to simple fire safety measures which will help reduce the chances of a fire starting. Version 2 - Short Version (Duration - 8 minutes) This short version is ideal for use as part of induction training or where time may be limited. It contains the core fire evacuation information, which will ensure that staff are aware of the procedures to be followed if a fire breaks out. Version 3 - No Fire Extinguishers (Duration - 16 minutes) This version recognises that many hotels do not encourage staff to attempt to fight the fire. Therefore this version focuses on the evacuation procedures and the fire safety measures that will help to prevent fires from starting. Version 4 - No Fire Safety (Duration - 16 minutes) This version includes the considerations before attempting to fight a fire, but does not include the fire safety section. This version is ideal for training those staff who may be involved in evacuating the hotel or as a reminder for any staff who have received training in the use of portable fire fighting equipment.
